We're Open: Staying connected to our clients through TeleHealth. Call us!
In my everyday life, I find it is important to consider how the people and things we interact with are impacted by us and how they influence us. It is the essence of relationships! As a marriage and family therapist, I recognize the patterns and cycles that keep us stuck in unhelpful ways of being and in unhealthy relationships. It's common to wonder "Why is it that everytime my partner says they want to meet up with friends, I get annoyed?" "Will I ever be able to stop bringing up "old stuff"?" "How can I make my kids stop screaming at each other?" "Does anyone else have these thoughts or is it just me?"
Understanding how our thoughts, feelings, connections, experiences have shaped us is a starting point to healthy relationships. I use various approaches such as Gottman, Emotionally-focused therapy and attachment-based models to inform my style. I help couples build satisfying, meaningful, and passionate relationships and work through infidelity, managing separation, and general conflict management.
I am bilingual (Spanish/English). Hablo Español.
I truly am honored at the opportunity to journey with clients as they process towards healing. I believe that the greatest intervention is being committed to the process and I am fully committed to journeying with my clients as they process how they see themselves and how they function in their relationships.
There are systemic influences that impact how we see ourselves and how we function in our relationships and in our worlds. There could be wounds that are impacting that negatively. Therapy is an invaluable tool to deal with those emotional weeds and work towards a new kind of harvest that is healthier and more productive.
Therapeutically I utilize several approaches including the Narrative Model, Emotionally Focused therapy, the Gottman Method, and Solution-Focused therapy.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you more in your personal journey towards healing! I am passionate about helping clients meet their therapeutic goals. The client is an expert on themselves, and I seek to journey with them in their process towards healing. I offer redirection, feedback, validation, and support. I love working with all kinds of clients. I have worked with couples of all kinds, adults, families with small children, and folks in transition. I care deeply about their healing and process towards becoming happier and healthier!

"Life is amazing. And then it's awful. And then it's amazing again. And in between the amazing and awful it's ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary"
Make the most out of your life today! I specialize in trauma, specifically healing from abuse, neglect, community violence, domestic violence, and sexual abuse using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am also a school-based therapist with experience in school anxiety and refusal, bullying, and opposition/defiant behaviors. I work with children ages 3 and up using sensory integrated interventions such as sand play and play therapy techniques. "When people talk, listen completely. Most people never listen."
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, the most important skill that I offer to clients is my ability to completely and actively listen, understand, and hold space for others during pivotal moments of vulnerability and self-exploration. I also strive to strengthen and empower you throughout your therapeutic journey. I hope to work with you in developing skills, techniques, and identifying necessary tools for you to use throughout your life.
I work with clients from a collaborative, strength-based approach. I enjoy assisting and supporting clients to be the author of their own lives.
I have experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and parenting challenges, self-esteem related issues, and trauma including grief and loss. I strongly believe that everyone has their own story that has shaped their current experiences. Together, I will help you unlock different perspectives of those experiences to foster change and growth.
I strive to cultivate a safe space where clients can share their story, gain insight on those experiences that impacted them, and create a new more fulfilling reality. I implement various therapeutic approaches including family systems, solution focused, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. When I am not working with clients, I enjoy cooking and baking my favorite and new recipes. I enjoy spending time with family or enjoying quiet time reading a book, watching a movie, or indulging in retail therapy!

As a practitioner with over a decade of experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy and with Master’s level clinical training in counseling and human sexuality, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic process.
