In my everyday life, I find it is important to consider how the people and things we interact with are impacted by us and how they influence us. It is the essence of relationships! As a marriage and family therapist, I recognize the patterns and cycles that keep us stuck in unhelpful ways of being and in unhealthy relationships. It's common to wonder "Why is it that everytime my partner says they want to meet up with friends, I get annoyed?" "Will I ever be able to stop bringing up "old stuff"?" "How can I make my kids stop screaming at each other?" "Does anyone else have these thoughts or is it just me?"
Understanding how our thoughts, feelings, connections, experiences have shaped us is a starting point to healthy relationships. I use various approaches such as Gottman, Emotionally-focused therapy and attachment-based models to inform my style. I help couples build satisfying, meaningful, and passionate relationships and work through infidelity, managing separation, and general conflict management.

As a practitioner with over a decade of experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy and with Master’s level clinical training in counseling and human sexuality, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic process. The cornerstone of this perspective is the focus on how a robust sense of self and our interconnectedness with others is the foundation for well-being. I foster the spirit of the individualized change journey by tailoring interventions to meet the needs of each person, utilizing an array of effective clinical methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Relational Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I am well versed in helping clients of diverse backgrounds and experiences to hone the skills, strategies, and resiliency needed to overcome the many obstacles encountered in life and to develop and nurture positive relationships with intimate partners, family members, and most importantly, with one’s self.
